I always deliver an abundant amount of highlight photos within 1 week after each wedding. Weddings in May-July can typically expect their full galleries to be ready within 60 days. For weddings August-October my turnaround time for full galleries is up to 90 days. Any weddings that take place during non-peak season (November-April) may expect their full galleries within 60 days or less.
Hour long sessions can expect their full gallery within 2 weeks, but during the busy season it is usually up to a month.
Over the last several years, I am confident in my quality and quantity of final images delivered. I do not limit the number of images I deliver for any wedding or session however, I can guarantee an amount that there will be no less than.
For an 8 hour wedding day when it is just me, I deliver no less than 800 images but usually it is anywhere from 1000 to 1500 photos. It all depends on your details, wedding party (or not), family, and how much portrait time you dedicate into your timeline.
For one hour family sessions I deliver no less than 80 photos but most sessions range from 125 to 250 photos. It all depends on how cooperative kids are being, how many people are involved, and how many combinations or poses we do together.
This all depends on the dynamic of the wedding day and how busy it will be.
I have handled most weddings on my own and have not felt the need for a second photographer. I do shoot with two cameras at a time, with a different lens on each camera. This allows me to capture an abundant amount of photographs that look different from one camera to the other. I move around a lot during the ceremony (providing it’s at least 10 minutes or more) to get different angles and perspectives.
I highly recommend having a second photographer (one that I will hire and bring with me) if your wedding party is more than 12 people and the guest list is more than 150 people.
The overall benefits to having a second photographer is more final images delivered, more angles and perspectives, and probably most important less missed moments as during the day multiple things can be happening at once.
